Have you ever looked back at a particularly difficult time in your life and wondered how you made it through? Maybe it was a season of loss, a period of uncertainty, or a challenge that felt impossible to overcome. I know I have. Sometimes the path behind us seems so steep, so treacherous, that it's hard to believe we actually walked it.
But there's this beautiful verse in Deuteronomy 1:31 that puts those moments in a different light:
"There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place."
What moves me most about this verse is the tender image it paints. It doesn't just tell us that God helped us along - it shows us that He carried us, like a father carries his child. Think about that for a moment. When a father carries his child, he doesn't just bear their weight - he protects them, guides them, and keeps them close to his heart.
