Today was supposed to be different, wasn't it? You woke up determined. Set your intentions. Maybe even put on that outfit that usually makes you feel invincible. But here you are, fighting back tears in your car, or hiding in the bathroom at work, or staring at your ceiling wondering if tomorrow will feel this heavy too.
I get it. Some days feel like they're specifically designed to test every ounce of strength you've got left. Like the universe looked at your "I can handle this" and said "Oh really? Let's see about that."
But here's what I've learned about hard days - they're excellent liars. They'll try to convince you that this is just how things are now, that you're not strong enough, that maybe you should just give up. They'll whisper that everyone else has it together while you're barely holding on.
